Lily in Love (1984)

Fitzroy Wynn (Christopher Plummer), the dazzling Broadway luminary, is overjoyed when his wife Lily (Dame Maggie Smith), a gifted writer, crafts a new script with a captivating lead role. Wrapped in his own ego, Fitz sees himself as the perfect fit for the role, but his dreams are shattered when Lily confesses her desire to cast a different actor. Undeterred, Fitz hatches a plan to secure his spot in the limelight.
