Plot

The Terminal is the tragicomic story of Viktor Navorski, who’s rendered completely stateless upon his arrival in the United States by the outbreak of civil war in his native country of Krakozhia. Unable to return home but not yet able to enter the United States, Navorski is doomed to remain at John F. Kennedy International Airport until his passport issues are resolved. Unfortunately, his stay in the airport lasts much longer than he ever bargained for. Although partially based on a true story of Iranian refugee Mehran Karimi Nasseri, who lived in the departure lounge of Charles de Gaulle Airport between 1988 and 2006, many details in the film have been heavily fictionalized.
