Plot

In the cinematic saga of Kriya, DJ Neel's life takes an abrupt turn into the realm of the macabre during one fateful club set. Enchanted by the alluring Sitara, he is drawn into a night that blends dread with enchantment. As the club music fades, Neel finds himself at Sitara's haunting abode, where the shackled silhouette of her dying father starkly contrasts the family's silent vigil. Struggling to reconcile this horrifying tableau, Neel is nevertheless moved by a surge of compassion. Trapped in the intricate weave of India's patriarchal customs, Sitara's family confronts an impossible dilemma - only a son can perform the last rites, but no male heir exists. As the shadow of death descends, Sitara turns to the bewildered Neel, pulling him deeper into a world of ancient rituals, magic, and transgression. This world, once alien to Neel, becomes a terrifying reality when he is coerced into officiating the death rituals, thereby inheriting a world he never bargained for. Neel's desperate attempts to escape this waking nightmare are thwarted, and as dawn breaks, a chilling revelation dawns on him. Sitara's family is ensnared in the tendrils of an ancient curse, a curse that now has its grip firmly on Neel. Kriya is an immersive journey into the heart of a cultural labyrinth where tradition, horror, and fate intertwine, forever altering the course of an unsuspecting DJ's life.
