Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight (1995)

In the barren stretches of an uncharted desert, a man named Frank Brayker finds himself ensnared in a high-speed chase. After a cataclysmic crash, Brayker escapes into the desolate landscape, eventually crossing paths with Uncle Willy, an easy-going alcoholic. Guided by Willy, Brayker seeks refuge in a quaint bed and breakfast nestled within an age-old, abandoned church. There, he encounters an eclectic assortment of guests: Cordelia, a seductive lady of the night; Wally Enfield, a modest postal clerk; Jeryline, the dutiful maid; and the dubious owner, Irene. Simultaneously, Sheriff Tupper and Deputy Bob Martel encounter an enigmatic figure known as The Collector at the crash site. The Collector reveals Brayker as a fugitive, accused of stealing a mystic relic resembling a key. This relic, unbeknownst to many, is the last of seven keys scattered across the cosmos. Each key serves as an extraordinary vessel, filled with the sanctified blood of Christ, designated to stave off the malevolent forces threatening to plunge the universe into chaos. When Irene discovers Brayker's attempted car heist through the rogue Roach, she alerts the authorities, unknowingly inviting The Collector to Brayker's hideout. A deadly confrontation ensues, during which The Collector fatally strikes Sheriff Tupper. In response, Brayker brandishes the stolen relic, miraculously expelling The Collector and conjuring a protective shield around the inn using the relic's blood. Despite his ejection, The Collector remains a menacing figure, utilizing his dark powers to seduce and tempt the inn's inhabitants, turning them into demons. As the night grows darker, the inn becomes a battlefront, a last bastion against the encroaching evil. Brayker and the guests must fight not only for their lives but for the very fate of the universe. In this captivating tale of good against evil, the question remains: who will emerge victorious in the ultimate fight for the cosmos?
