Kirsty has survived trauma that few people can even imagine. After she inherited a house that contained a portal to the dimension of hell, she saw unspeakable horrors visited on the people she knew. But no one believes what she's been through, and she now finds herself involuntarily committed to a mental hospital. But Kirsty's new doctor doesn't have her interests at heart. He's long had a fascination with the creatures called Cenobites that call Hell home. The arrival of Kirsty is a blessing for him, as he sees her as a key he can use to open a gate to Hell.
