Plot

In a quest for a serene family retreat, Helen, Doug Silwin, and their young son, Bobby, embark on an unforgettable holiday to the farthest reaches of Mexico. Their journey begins with a nocturnal escapade in Tijuana, followed by a brief stop in Ensenada to fuel their adventure. Their destination? An idyllic, secluded beach Doug once shared with an old army comrade — a sanctuary nestled at the very end of the Baja peninsula. As they traverse the sun-scorched, desolate countryside, their only encounter is a cryptic police roadblock, offering more mystery than direction. Unfazed, they continue on their course, ultimately arriving safely at their dreamy coastal destination. However, tranquility soon gives way to terror when an innocuous stroll on the pier turns perilous. Doug finds himself ensnared by the collapsed jetty, his foot held captive by the unforgiving wooden debris. With the relentless tide inching closer and Doug's life hanging in the balance, Helen embarks on a desperate search for help. Her beacon of hope arrives in the form of an American named Lawson. But as she soon discovers, Lawson is a fugitive, fleeing from the clutches of justice. His assistance comes with a steep price, plunging Helen into a dangerous dance with desperation and deceit. As the clock ticks and the waters rise, can Helen outwit her captor and save her husband before the sea claims him? The Stilwin's tranquil vacation transforms into a race against time in this suspense-filled saga, where survival hangs on the razor's edge of jeopardy.
