The Drop (2014)

Bob Saginowski just keeps his head down and tends bar quietly at a pub operated by his cousin Marv. Marv sold ownership to the business, which now primarily serves as a front for Chechen mobsters embezzling money. Bob is present during a robbery of the bar, and he becomes tightly enmeshed with the police investigation. Bob's just met a girl with a violent ex-boyfriend, but happenstance has put him at the heart of a tangled criminal enterprise. And as circumstances force him to learn more about it, he discovers layers of history in his community that he never even knew of.
