Plot

In the vibrant pulse of a radio factory, a young woman named Young-goon finds her sanity wavering on the edge of reality. Convinced she's a combat cyborg, her world resonates with unseen voices and she resorts to self-harm, her only solace the inanimate objects she converses with. Her peculiarities are rooted in a family tree bearing unusual fruit: a grandmother believing herself a mouse, whose dentures Young-goon now wears, and a socially inept butcher for a mother. Young-goon's enigmatic aura captures the attention of Il-sun, a fellow patient and ping-pong enthusiast at the mental institution where she's confined. Il-sun, consumed by the delusion that he possesses the ability to pilfer souls, finds himself drawn to Young-goon's intricately woven madness. The hospital becomes their shared stage, a tapestry of the psychologically unique and misunderstood. With Young-goon refusing sustenance, her life delicately hangs in the balance. Il-sun, in his chaotic quest for sanity, takes it upon himself to convince her to eat. As their connection deepens, their eccentricities intertwine, and the line between insanity and reality blurs. 'I'm a Cyborg, but That's OK' is a surreal exploration of the human mind's labyrinth, a poignant tale of two lost souls finding solace in their shared madness. Will they find a semblance of sanity in this whirlwind, or will their fantasies consume them? The answer lies in the captivating dance between love and lunacy, painting a vibrant picture of the human condition's delicate complexities.
