Plot

In the late 19th century, an unforeseen shipping catastrophe maroons a man and his expectant wife in the untamed wilderness of Africa. Under the shelter of a towering treehouse, the woman gives birth to a son, only to succumb to the harshness of their circumstances shortly after. The father meets his end at the hands of an intrusive ape, leaving the infant in a world devoid of human touch. In a twist of fate, a grieving mother ape, mourning the loss of her own offspring, takes the human baby under her care, nurturing him as her own in the dense African verdure. For two decades, the boy grows, embracing the ways of the wild, his identity intertwined with the apes who raised him. His life takes an abrupt turn when he crosses paths with Captaine Phillippe D'Arnot. Intrigued by the man-ape, D'Arnot unearths evidence in the abandoned treehouse which suggests that the wild man is not merely a lost soul, but the blood heir of the respected Earl of Greystoke. Motivated by this discovery, D'Arnot embarks on a mission to restore the man to his rightful place in civilization. As the lost heir is reluctantly pulled from the embrace of the wilderness and thrust into the rigid confines of the Scottish aristocracy, he grapples with the jarring chasm between his two worlds. The journey of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, unfolds, a poignant tale of identity, belonging, and the irrepressible call of the wild.
