While working as a member of a global geophysical team exploring how Earth is responding to radiation coming from never before seen solar storms, Dr. Adrian Helmsley makes a shocking discovery - the earth’s core is heating up. He warns the president that they must act now to save a small percentage of human life or the entire species may well go extinct. By happenstance, writer Jackson Curtis accidentally uncovers the very same information. As mega-earthquakes and super volcanic eruptions decimate the Earth, world leaders rush to save their populations and Curtis desperately searches for a way to save his family.
