In the aftermath of World War II, a young boy named Alec Ramsey embarks on a journey with his father, sailing the seas off the northern coast of Africa. Their voyage takes an unexpected turn when Alec becomes captivated by a majestic black Arabian stallion, harshly stowed away in the ship's quarters. A bond forms between the boy and the horse, nurtured by stolen moments and shared sugar cubes.
