In the heart of an isolated, frost-kissed town, where the spirit of Christmas is as absent as the warmth, lies a desolate street that whispers tales of desolation. Here, the joy of Yuletide seems a ghost, lost amongst the lonely patrons of a non-traditional Chinese restaurant, where sake flows more freely than cheer, and a funeral parlor, eerily silent, yearning for the business that death, ironically, refuses to offer. Meet Edmond Zweck, the bearish undertaker, driven to the brink of despair by the reluctance of mortality, his loyal sidekick Georges, and the inexperienced Eddy. For them, the joy of the season is as absent as their clientele. Yet, in this lonely outpost of life, miracles, much like fate, have a strange way of finding their way. Just when Zweck's funeral home seems destined to be consumed by the cold, a flicker of hope walks through their door. A widow and her brother, carrying their grief and the prospect of business. With a newfound reason to rejoice, the trio embarks on a journey to lay a soul to rest. But as the chill of winter bites, they find themselves navigating a labyrinth of misfortunes, teetering between hope and despair.
