In the chilling dawn of May 1940, amidst the burgeoning tempest of World War II, a young, intrepid eighteen-year-old, Geoffrey 'Geoff'/'Boy' Wellum, defies the ordinary path of youth and enlists himself in the 92nd squadron of the Royal Air Force. With the world teetering precariously on the edge, the RAF, in desperate need of every willing soldier, accepts him, making him the youngest-ever Spitfire pilot.
Plunged into the deep end with no prior flying experience, Geoff is expected to tame the mighty Spitfire. Nervous yet pulsating with exhilaration, he steps into the cockpit, ascending into the vast, perilous sky to battle the relentless Luftwaffe.
