A Walk in the Clouds (1995)

Returning from the ravages of World War II, Paul, a young, married American soldier, crosses paths with Victoria, a beautiful damsel burdened with an unwed pregnancy. She dreads her return home, where a stern, overpowering Mexican patriarch awaits, his displeasure a storm on the horizon. In a spontaneous gesture of gallantry, Paul proposes a charade, offering to stand by Victoria as her husband until the storm passes and he can resume his journey home. But as they engage in this delicate dance of deception, their hearts choreograph a different rhythm. An unexpected bond blossoms between them, a love as sweet as it is forbidden, for Paul is already wedded.
