Plot

In the heart of Greenwich Village, dwells Tepper, a man of honor and integrity. His life is a mosaic of simple pleasures, from aiding his elderly neighbor, Mrs. Darmsetter, to hosting poker nights with his buddies, Fish, Bolan, and Quigley. Their unique twist: betting Big 3 Lotto tickets in a "last man standing" five-card draw, with a pact not to verify the winning numbers until the game’s end. Tepper's life, as ordinary as it may seem, takes a thrilling turn when he discovers a misplaced wallet with sparse identification. The only lead: an ID belonging to a fireman named Avery Phillips. On the eve of his proposal to his loving girlfriend, Carla, Tepper embarks on a quest to return the wallet. However, he stumbles upon a Big 3 Lotto ticket stashed inside the wallet, revealing a whopping $6 million win. Torn between his steadfast principles and the life-changing prospect of wealth, Tepper surreptitiously swaps his ticket with Avery's. But as the poker night commences, the tension escalates when Avery joins the game. Guilt gnaws at Tepper as he grapples with the consequences of his decision, while Avery's peculiar behavior raises suspicions. As the night unfolds, Tepper finds himself entangled in a web of deceit and moral dilemmas with the $6 million ticket hanging in the balance. The arrival of the police in the neighborhood, in pursuit of an unknown suspect, further intensifies the plot, leading to a suspenseful climax. Will Tepper's secret be revealed, or will fortune favor him in this high-stakes game of chance and morality? The answer lies in this gripping tale of temptation, integrity, and suspense.
