In the glamorous world of Madame Celeste's fashion house, a facade for the real designer and owner, Jacques Duval, tensions run high among the exquisite models - Peggy Rooney, Yvonne Brewster, and Marie Lewis. A brewing storm of jealousy, deceit, and betrayal swirls around as the cunning Yvonne seeks to snatch Peggy's beau, Jimmy O'Brien, the charming stock clerk and driver for the fashion house. Unbeknownst to most, Yvonne's ruthless pursuit of love has already shattered a marriage, tearing apart Celeste and Duval. The fashion house descends into chaos when Yvonne is discovered strangled, the accusing finger pointing at Jimmy due to an unfortunate jest he made about strangling Yvonne. As the investigation unfolds, a web of intriguing characters are drawn into the mystery, including Yvonne's affluent older lover, Mr. Davis, and the snooty, disdainful customer Jessica Van Allen along with her submissive husband, Harvey. Despite the mounting evidence against him, Peggy remains unwavering in her belief of Jimmy's innocence. Embarking on a daring quest to clear his name, they delve deeper into the mystery, suspecting a connection between Yvonne's murder and a lavish diamond brooch gifted to her by Davis. But their probing only lands them in deeper trouble, as they stumble upon more victims of the killer, casting suspicion on Peggy as Jimmy's partner in crime. Their only beacon of hope lies in Marie's memory, as they desperately try to recall the name that Yvonne breathed out in her last moments. Yet, each step they take towards unmasking the truth only thrusts them further into the path of the relentless killer, their own lives hanging in the balance.
