In the heart of Brooklyn, where the echoes of Yiddish blend with the urban bustle, lives Murray Schwartz, a once thriving bookstore owner now bankrupted by the digital age. His cherished store, a legacy passed down from his grandfather, is forced to close its doors, leaving Murray in a dire financial situation. His only solace is the platonic companionship of Othella, an African-American single mother and her vibrant family. A chance conversation with his affluent dermatologist, Dr. Parker, presents an unlikely business opportunity: a ménage à trois. Dr. Parker and her Latina friend Selima are in search of a gentleman companion, leading Murray to propose his long-time friend, Fioravante, as the ideal candidate. While not traditionally handsome, Fioravante, a part-time florist and occasional plumber, possesses a unique charm that captures the essence of women's desires. Reluctantly, Fioravante agrees to this unconventional proposition, driven by his own financial woes. His compassionate nature and genuine focus on women make him an instant success among the clients, including Dr. Parker and Selima. However, the business takes an unexpected turn when Murray introduces Fioravante to a heartbroken widow, Avigal, from his neighborhood's orthodox Jewish community. Still grieving the loss of her Rabbi husband, Avigal finds solace in Fioravante's non-sexual services, masked as healing massages. This seemingly innocent arrangement stirs the waters of their orthodox community, especially for Dovi, the leader of the neighborhood patrol, who harbors unspoken love for Avigal. As the unconventional venture blooms, the lines between business and personal relationships blur. Fioravante, Dr. Parker, Selima, and Avigal find themselves entangled in a web of love and desire, each relationship blossoming beyond the boundaries of their transactional start. The neighborhood's watchful eyes, led by a suspicious Dovi, threaten to expose their clandestine dealings, adding a layer of tension to their romantic entanglements.
