At the heart of the local neighbourhood pulses Discount's, a bustling supermarket overseen by Sofia Benhaoui. However, the air is thick with unease as the checkout assistants face a future threatened by the looming arrival of automated pay stations. The added sting of an impending competition to decide who will remain employed only deepens the fissure of uncertainty. As tensions rise, the beleaguered cashiers, each grappling with their own personal dilemmas, are pushed to the brink. Among them are Christine, struggling with financial woes; Alfred, the group's elder and most vulnerable to dismissal; Emma, a single mother, and Momo, a young French Arab. Together, they rally behind Gilles, a fellow cashier, who presents a daring proposal: to pilfer goods from the supermarket and establish their own social grocery, selling the stolen items at heavily discounted prices. The plan is risky, audacious, and could be their only shot at survival in a world that seems increasingly indifferent to their plight.
