In the shimmering underbelly of Los Angeles, Jake Vig heads an adroit team of con artists, each playing their part in his grand charades. The crew, composed of Miles the opponent, Big Al the faux victim, and Gordo the simulated casualty, along with corrupt LAPD detectives Lloyd Whitworth and Omar Manzano, weave intricate webs of deception. Their cons are masterfully designed to swindle their marks and intimidate them into silence with the specter of a "murder." However, their well-oiled machine grinds to a halt when they discover they've unknowingly fleeced Louis Dolby, an accountant for the ruthless crime boss known as King. The $150,000 they swindled belonged to King, a man who is as unforgiving as he is dangerous. When King comes calling, Jake, instead of returning the stolen money, proposes a daring gamble: to orchestrate a larger con, a $5 million scheme against Morgan Price, a banker deeply entrenched in the world of organized crime.
