Plot

In the heart of the legal battlefield stands Tim (Kwok), a defence attorney of noble spirit. Driven by a desire for justice over personal gain, he abandons his lucrative career to join the ranks of the prosecutors at the Justice Department. Backed by his devoted fiancée Megan and loyal friend Nam (Liu Kai Chi), a law enforcement officer, Tim embarks on his new journey. His path soon intertwines with Jing (Gwei), a physically challenged piano maestro. Jing entreats Tim to represent her in a complex case against her doctor, Zhou (Chang), an esteemed surgeon. The allegations? Disturbing acts of sexual harassment during what should have been a routine check-up. With no witnesses and only their contradicting versions of the incident, the case evolves into a labyrinth reminiscent of the Rashomon puzzle. Adding fuel to the fire, Zhou's defence attorney, Freddy, is none other than Tim's sharp-suited successor from his former law firm. Freddy proves to be the most formidable adversary Tim has ever faced. As the media storm whips up around them, the case begins to erode the lives of everyone it touches. Amidst this turmoil, the audience is left to wonder: Who is the victim and who is the villain? Is it the seemingly innocent and angelic piano teacher, or the reputed yet seemingly aloof Dr. Zhou? This intricate tale of truth, perception, and justice will leave viewers pondering long after the end credits roll.
