Plot

In the adrenaline-fueled thriller, "Cartels" (2017), action powerhouse Steven Seagal leads a high-stakes game of cat and mouse against a ruthless Eastern European drug cartel. As the story unfurls, crime lord Salazar makes an unexpected turn, choosing to become an informant. This forces U.S. Marshal Jensen, played by Luke Goss (Blade II), and his elite DEA team to transform a luxury hotel into an impregnable fortress, a safe house where they must protect their precarious asset while they wait for extraction. However, the tranquil illusion of their well-guarded haven quickly shatters as Sinclaire, the cold-blooded cartel underboss portrayed by UFC fighter Georges St. Pierre, marshals his lethal hit squads. With a singular aim to annihilate Salazar, they launch a relentless, explosive assault on the hotel, turning it into a battleground. Amidst the chaos, the situation takes an unexpected turn, igniting the fury of Agent Harrison, embodied by Seagal. As the hotel's glimmering façade crumbles under the onslaught, Harrison becomes hell-bent on unearthing the mole within their ranks who has jeopardized the operation. "Cartels" is a fast-paced, explosive rollercoaster, where the line between ally and enemy blurs, and survival becomes a deadly game of wit, courage, and betrayal. In this high-stakes chessboard, each move could mean life or death, and trust is a luxury none can afford.
