Plot

Buddha Mar Gaya unveils the bizarre and hilarious journey of Laxmikant Kabadiya and his twin sister, Prerna. Once beggars near the bustling Dadar Railway Station, they elevate their status with the help of Vidyut Baba, transforming into garbage collectors, then recycling tycoons, and ultimately, multi-millionaires. Laxmikant expands his family by marrying and fathering two sons, Sameer and Ranjeet, who themselves marry and have children. Amidst this family tapestry, Vidyut Baba, now a family guru with fluid sexual preferences, and Ramu, the family's loyal servant, play pivotal roles. The Kabadiya clan prepares to launch their first Public Offering, a gold mine promising to churn out countless rupees. As they anticipate this deluge of wealth, calamity strikes. Laxmikant, now a widower, unwittingly meets his end during an intimate encounter with Kim, a seductive yet struggling actress. Fearing the ruin of their future plans, the family decides to shroud Laxmikant's death in secrecy, threatening Kim into silence and letting her escape. However, their plan spirals into chaos when Ramu discovers their secret and resorts to blackmail. Desperate to maintain their façade, the Kabadiyas organize a secret cremation for Laxmikant, only to replace his body with that of an unidentified poor man, whom they declare as Laxmikant's cousin. The media frenzy that follows sees them staging another funeral, this time of an unknown Christian man, presented as yet another distant relative. Things take a hilarious turn when Ramu announces the 'death' of the very much alive Vidyut Baba on live television, opening a tumultuous can of worms. Amid the ensuing chaos, a shocking revelation about Laxmikant's double life and a secret third son from another woman further complicates the already tangled web of the Kabadiya family. Buddha Mar Gaya is a rollercoaster ride through the labyrinth of a family's desperate efforts to preserve their reputation and wealth, even in death.
