Manchester by the Sea (2016)

Due to a shocking tragedy in his past, Lee Chandler lives a lonely, socially isolated life working as an apartment maintenance man in Quincy, Massachusetts. He gets a call one day from his hometown of Manchester informing him that he has been appointed sole guardian of his 16-year-old nephew. The boy’s father is dying from congestive heart failure. Chandler accepts the guardianship role with grave doubts but has little choice. He struggles to form a relationship with his “typical teen” nephew – but the arrangement will force Chandler to confront the dreadful catastrophe of his past that destroyed his life.
