A Prayer Before Dawn (2018)

British boxer Billy Moore suffers from a heroin addiction. Thai police arrest him for possessing a firearm and stolen goods. In prison, he endures the harshness of prison life in Thailand. The experience is grueling and his addiction problem leads him to confrontations with guards and prisoners alike. Billy befriends a transgender man named Fame. He attempts to take his own life but survives the attempt. After the suicide attempt, Fame helps Billy join a boxing club within the prison. Billy sees great success in learning Muay Thai. Impressed by his performance, the prison warden chooses Billy to represent the prison in a national tournament.
