Plot

Fred Williams, George Drayton, Doug Jackson, and Howard McIllenny are four friends, seasoned businessmen, who weave through the bustling hubbub of New York daily, commuting from their quaint residences in Greenwich, Connecticut. As days blur into routine, they find themselves yearning for a spark amidst their staid suburban lives. A weekly ritual known as 'boys' night out' emerges as their escape route, an evening designated for them to bask in the city's allure before catching the last train home. Marriage binds three of the men while Fred remains the group's lone bachelor, living under his mother's watchful gaze. Inspired by Fred's boss, the married men contemplate an audacious plan — to rent a city "bachelor pad" for weeknight adventures with a kept woman. They require Fred to be the lessor, a role he initially resists, but inevitably, he succumbs to their persuasion. Enter Cathy, a captivating young woman who initially intended to rent the apartment herself but finds herself entwined in the men's scheme. As the men envisage their evenings of clandestine rendezvous, Fred finds himself drawn to Cathy, contemplating a future he thought he had sworn off — remarriage. But unbeknownst to the men, Cathy harbours a secret. A sociology student, she is conducting an intimate study into the sexual life of the white middle-class male. As the men's Thursday nights veer off into uncharted territories, they remain oblivious to the fact that their escapades may not be unfolding as they had envisioned. The unexpected twist of Cathy's secret may just topple the precarious balance of their lives, threatening to shatter their carefully constructed plans. In this tale of desire, deception, and domesticity, the men's nights out might just turn into a journey of self-discovery and unexpected revelations.
