On a sweltering New Orleans afternoon, Samuel, a humble hardware store worker, returns home bearing flowers as a symbol of his love, only to be met with the ultimate betrayal. His wife, Ashley, is caught in the throes of passion with Damien, her secret lover, on the very day of their marriage anniversary. Engulfed in rage and heartbreak, Samuel holds the adulterers captive at gunpoint, teetering on a knife-edge of revenge. In an alternate twist of events, Samuel resists the urge to pull the trigger. Instead, he delves into the untold depths of their personal lives and intimate encounters, forcing Ashley and Damien to lay bare their secrets. He discovers shocking truths; his own wife, Jasmine, is carrying his child, and Ashley's ex-boyfriend was in fact her ex-husband. In a chilling move, Samuel coerces Damien to call Jasmine, his three-month pregnant wife, and confess his infidelity over a speaker phone for all to hear. Jasmine's voice echoes with heartbreak as she reveals Damien's history of indiscretions. Samuel then presents a disturbing choice to Jasmine: decide Damien's fate, whether he should return to her or face Samuel's wrath. Subtly, Samuel suggests a harrowing decision: Jasmine should confront her cheating husband in person and sleep with Samuel as a raw expression of the betrayal she has endured. Thus, Adulterers weaves a riveting tale of love, betrayal, and revenge, as the walls of a simple home become a stage for a tense psychological drama.
