In the charming seaside setting, we meet three friends, Paul, Matt, and Will, each in their 30s and each navigating the complexities of their romantic relationships. Paul, entwined in a five-year bond with Ben, finds their relationship teetering on the edge, strained by Paul's persistent melancholy following his brother Mark's death. Matt, on the other hand, arrives with Owen, his partner of three months. Despite Matt's earnest desire to build a life together, their odd pairing raises eyebrows among their friends. Then there's Will, who introduces Adam, a youthful one-night fling, to the world of "content, well-adjusted homosexuals." As the weekend unfolds, all six men, joined by Mark's former lover, James, grapple with understanding their own relationships, whilst exploring new ones formed during their seaside retreat. However, they soon discover that the quest for happiness and well-adjustment is as unpredictable as the ocean's tide.
