Plot

It's a hot summer day in 1972, and Sonny Wortzik has never robbed a bank before. Unfortunately, his inexperience shows as his attempt to rob the First Brooklyn Savings Bank does not go to plan in a number of different ways. Sonny ends up taking prisoners but ends up with a crowd cheering for him as the siege continues, day stretches into night and the unusual reason for his attempted robbery comes to light.
