Standing on the periphery are Sam and her husband Terry, a wealthy couple deeply engrossed in documenting this cultural phenomenon of White teens drawn towards Black pop culture. A dark subplot unfolds as a corrupt gambler-turned-cop blackmails Dean, a promising college basketball player, into throwing a game, his motives shrouded in mystery. As the narrative unravels, a blonde grad student flits from one Black man to another, while a career-driven D.A. grapples with unforeseen concerns about his son. Black and White is an intricate mosaic of lives and ambitions, of dreams and despair, all entwined within the unforgettable rhythm of hip-hop.
