Shocker (1989)

In the heart of a serene small town, a wave of terror escalates as the ruthless Horace Pinker, a wickedly twisted TV repairman, embarks on a chilling murder spree. His reign of terror seeps into the home of Lt. Parker, a dedicated officer tenaciously pursuing Pinker's chilling trail, where he brutally snuffs out the lives of Parker's wife, son, and daughter. However, Parker's remaining son, Jonathan, discovers an eerie connection to the malevolent Pinker through his haunting dreams, a psychic thread that unveils the killer's hideouts and next victims. Guided by these premonitions, Jonathan leads his father to Pinker's business, sparking a gruesome showdown that leaves four officers dead and Jonathan's beloved girlfriend, Alison, in the crosshairs of this relentless predator. When another of Jonathan's nightmarish visions reveals Pinker's next cruel endeavor, father and son intercept the murderer mid-kidnap, leading to a fierce brawl that results in Pinker's arrest. Sentenced to meet his end in the electric chair, Pinker's demise is, however, just the beginning of a new wave of horror. Pinker, who allegedly bartered his soul with the devil, returns from the grave as a sinister energy force, possessing innocent bodies to continue his blood-soaked mission. As the body count rises, it's up to Jonathan to concoct a risky plan — lure Pinker into the physical realm and sever his deadly power source. In this electrifying cat-and-mouse chase, Jonathan must face his deepest fears and rally the courage to confront the ghostly killer in a final bid to save his town and himself.
