Plot

In the gritty realms of Los Angeles, disenfranchised punk rocker Otto trades his rebellious lifestyle for the renegade world of vehicle repossession after a series of life's disappointments. Spurning his unsatisfying supermarket job and left adrift by his girlfriend's rejection, Otto finds himself wandering the city's labyrinthine streets, an embodiment of urban frustration. His aimless wandering comes to an abrupt halt when he's unexpectedly drawn into the mercenary underworld of the Helping Hand Acceptance Corporation, a repossession agency. A seasoned "repo man" becomes his unlikely mentor, introducing Otto to the perilous yet thrilling life of a modern buccaneer. As Otto navigates this paranoid and cutthroat world, he encounters a motley crew of characters, including UFO conspiracy theorists, tenacious rival repo agents, and former friends embroiled in crime. His disillusionment peaks when he learns of his parents' naive donation of his college fund to a televangelist, prompting him to plunge deeper into his new profession as a repo man. Simultaneously, a bizarre chain of events unfolds as a mysterious package is stolen from a government lab. Its uncanny effects on all who encounter it pique Otto's curiosity and danger-seeking spirit. This Top Secret cargo is concealed within the trunk of a 1964 Chevy Malibu, driven by a wildly unhinged government scientist. As the car becomes listed for repossession, it carries an enticingly hefty reward, entangling Otto in a web of intrigue that blurs the line between his old punk life and his new repo existence. His thrilling journey through the world of vehicle repossession becomes a high-stakes adventure, a captivating mix of danger, humor, and urban existentialism.
