Plot

In this riveting 1966 rendition of "Beau Geste," we follow the tumultuous journey of Beau Graves, an American with a shadowed past, portrayed with gripping intensity by Guy Stockwell. Dubbed "Beau Geste" - a nickname bestowed by his commanding officer, the stern and imposing Leslie Nielsen, Beau is a character shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Alongside him, we find his brother John, played by Doug McClure, whose true identity remains an enigma, known in the Legion as "Johnson." Leaving behind the familiarity of their homeland, the Graves brothers willingly plunge into the treacherous world of the infamous French Foreign Legion. The harsh desert landscapes of North Africa become their new battleground, and it is here that they are reunited under the relentless sun. However, the threat they face is not merely from the rebellious Arabs they were prepared to combat. Amidst the swirling sands and the unforgiving heat, the brothers find themselves in a deadly game of cat and mouse with their own sadistic commander. Danger lurks in every corner, not from distant enemies, but from the very ranks they've sworn allegiance to. "Beau Geste" is a tale of brotherhood and survival, of secrets and betrayals, set against the backdrop of a merciless landscape and an even more merciless hierarchy. It invites viewers into a world where loyalty is tested, identities are masked, and survival is the only law.
