When the labyrinthine world of memory manipulation becomes common practice in 2025, it sets a stage for a chilling psychological thriller. Celebrated novelist Feng, played by Huang Bo, willingly chooses to erase the painful memories of his failing marriage. However, his estranged wife refuses to finalize their divorce until he reclaims his past. When Feng seeks to restore his memories, he finds himself entangled in the grisly thoughts of a serial killer, seeing the horrifying crimes through the killer's eyes, and even more disturbingly, as the murderer himself. Unable to bear the burden of these blood-soaked recollections, Feng seeks help from the police. Initially met with disbelief by officers Shen Hanqiang and Lei Zi, they begin to take his claims seriously when the vivid descriptions from Feng's borrowed memories align with actual crime scenes. The plot thickens when Feng realizes that the killer now possesses his memories and could potentially target his wife. As this dangerous game of memory swap unfolds, the officers eagerly anticipate a clue to the killer's identity from Feng's narratives. A conspiracy slowly unravels with suspicions falling onto a female officer close to the case. Feng risks everything to protect his wife, leading to a series of unexpected revelations and dangerous encounters. In a twist of fate, it's revealed that officer Shen Hanqiang, the one who had initially aided Feng, is the actual murderer, using his colleagues as pawns in his deadly game. A tense confrontation ensues, ending in a dramatic climax that forces Feng and his wife, Daichen, to confront their past and future together.
