Plot

Meet Champak Chandrakant Chiplunkar - the most ill-fated bank robber to grace the silver screen. He's a simple Marathi manoos, embodied flawlessly by Riteish Deshmukh, who for some unfathomable reason, chooses the most disastrous day to stage a bank heist. His misfortune doesn't end there; he ropes in two of Delhi's most clueless and inexperienced misfits, neither of whom have so much as stolen a wallet. This comically catastrophic foible is further complicated by an explosively eccentric ensemble of hostages. A high-strung housewife, an overzealous chef, a suspiciously casual cop, and the legendary Baba Sehgal, all find themselves caught up in the chaos. Sounds chaotic enough, right? But the danger is only beginning to brew. Suddenly on the scene is a hard-nosed, trigger-happy CBI officer, Amjad Khan, played with gusto by Vivek Anand Oberoi. His unique brand of justice involves gunfire first, questions later. Outside the bank, a media frenzy is whipped up by the audacious fashion journalist turned crime reporter, Gayatri Ganguly aka Gaga, portrayed with panache by Rhea Chakraborty. Bank Chor (2017) is a hilariously disastrous saga of three bumbling buffoons, who, in their attempt to rob a bank, unwittingly get ensnared in a whirlwind of worst-case scenarios. This film offers a wild roller-coaster ride of laughter and suspense, promising to leave you on the edge of your seat with its ceaseless cascade of calamities. The Bankchors are set for the most tumultuous day of their lives, offering viewers a feast of thrills, spills, and comic chills.
