Born and bred in the United States, Maurice's upbringing was far from typical. From a tender age, he was taken under the wing of Guru Tugginmypudha in the quaint Indian hamlet of Havemahkeeta, where his life's mission was shaped: to surpass the fame of Deepak Chopra and embrace a life of sexual awakening. However, this path was not without its challenges, as Maurice found himself bound by a chastity belt, a symbol of his guru's cautionary advice. Years later, Maurice, now known as Guru Pitka, has carved out a reputation for himself in America's bustling self-help industry. Yet, his ambition remains unquenched; he yearns to outshine Deepak Chopra on the grand stage of the Oprah Show. When fate introduces him to Jane Bullard, a representative from the Toronto Maple Leafs, he is presented with an opportunity that could catapult him to the heights of his aspirations. Bullard hires Pitka to counsel Darren Roanoke, their star hockey player, whose life is spiralling out of control. Darren's wife, Prudence, has deserted him for Jacques Grande, a rival player from the Kings, and his professional career is on a downward trajectory. Moreover, he struggles under the oppressive authority of his mother, Lilian. Guru Pitka, armed with his unconventional wisdom and unique charisma, embarks on a comedic journey to mend Darren's fractured life. His task is to help the star athlete reconcile with his estranged wife, stand up to his domineering mother, and reclaim his faltering career, all while navigating the unpredictable turns and hilarious outcomes of his own quest for fame and fulfillment.
