Like Stars on Earth (2007)

Eight-year old Ishaan Awasthi is believed by most of his teachers to just be a problem child. It's the reason he's been sent to a boarding school, but he finds himself only struggling more in this more restrictive environment. But he fortunately gets the attention of an art teacher named Ram Shankar Nikumbh. Ram recognizes that strict rules of discipline aren't always the most effective method for raising children, and he takes Ishaan under his wing. With the help of his parents, the two come to uncover the reasons behind Ishaan's struggles and a productive path forward for the wayward student.
