Bacurau (2019)

A small rural town in Brazil suddenly begins experiencing strange events that seem to coincide with the death of their 94 year old matriarch. Flying saucers appear in the sky, the telephones stop working, and GPS satellites cease to record them. When a pair of strangers come to the town at roughly the same time, the people of Bacurau are naturally suspicious. But as the events begin to appear more directed and sinister, the residents begin to work together to chase it off. At the heart of it all are dark figures who seem to want their hands on the town's water supply.
