In the quaint town of Apple Springs, Washington, Cassie, a college student with a passion for music, finds her dreams of a Los Angeles internship at an independent record label abruptly dashed. Reluctantly, she opts for a quiet summer back home, house-sitting for her vacationing parents. Her love for children leads her to a part-time nanny job, a welcome alternative to her usual diner gig with her best friend, Lucy. Cassie is tasked with caring for the cherubic Becca Paine, whose mother, Chloe Paine, is planning a part-time return to her law career.
