Jill Johnson, an ordinary high school freshman with a passion for running and a penchant for overusing her cell phone, is forced into a babysitting gig by her parents to pay off an exorbitant bill. She finds herself in the lavish home of the Mandrakis family, entrusted with the care of two children comfortably tucked in for the night. As the silence of the expansive three-story mansion swallows her, Jill's solitude is shattered by the chilling ring of a mysterious call. The enigmatic caller remains silent at times, but the voice on the other end of the line soon begins to unsettle Jill with a haunting inquiry: "Have you checked the children?" The question subtly worms its way into Jill's sanity, prompting her to ensure the children's safety time and again. Yet, each time she returns to the phone, the caller seems eerily aware of her movements, turning the quiet night into a bizarre game of cat and mouse. Desperate, Jill reaches out to the police, who promise to trace the call if she can keep the stranger talking for over a minute. When she finally succeeds, the terrifying truth revealed by the police plunges her routine babysitting job into a living nightmare. With the walls of the mansion closing in on her, Jill must fight not only for her survival but also for the lives of the children under her care. The once tranquil house becomes a battleground where Jill must outwit her unseen adversary. Will she manage to escape and protect the children before time runs out?
