Set against the austere backdrop of 1950s London, Asylum tells the tumultuous tale of Max Raphael, a diligent psychiatrist on the precipice of his career, newly appointed as the superintendent of an asylum in the city's outskirts. Consumed by his ambition, Max unwittingly neglects his wife Stella and their son Charlie, leaving them yearning for connection amidst the asylum's chilling isolation.
