Plot

In the realm of the roaring 1920s, the ostentatious music critic, Cornelius, dreams of a career as a composer. Eager to write a definitive biography about a renowned cello master, Felix, he seeks an interview through the assistance of Felix's savvy impresario, Jillker. This quest leads him to Felix's extravagant summer house, where the maestro is ardently rehearsing for an imminent, worldwide radio concert. The pompous Cornelius, armed with his notepad and quill, soon discovers that securing a meeting with the elusive Felix is a task more challenging than he anticipated. Instead, he finds himself ensnared in a web of Felix's unique domestic arrangement: seven women, each playing a distinct role in Felix's life. Among these women, only Adelaide holds the legal title of Felix's wife, while the others serve as his sexual partners, fulfilling various roles from benefactress to maid, and even a mediator in familial disputes. Each woman takes her turn with Felix, assigned to a specific day of the week, while Adelaide meticulously orchestrates this unusual schedule. Cornelius, in the midst of this peculiar household, records the intricate dynamics of these relationships, often finding himself entangled in their affairs. As Cornelius delves deeper into the private life of the elusive cellist, he uncovers intimate details about Felix's life that were previously unknown. With this newfound knowledge, Cornelius formulates a cunning plan. He attempts to exploit this private information, attempting to blackmail Felix into performing a composition of his own creation. "All These Women" is a rich tapestry of farce, drama, and intrigue, offering a unique glimpse into the life of an eminent musician, intricately woven through the eyes of an ambitious critic-cum-composer. This tale is as much about the pursuit of artistic aspiration as it is about the complex dynamics of love, power, and manipulation.
