Agyaat (2009)

In the stillness of a remote jungle, the wheels of cinematic creation grind to a halt when a crucial camera falls into disrepair. The cast and crew of a Bollywood film, a patchwork of personalities from the glamorous leading lady Aasha, her egoistic co-star Sharman Kapoor, to the diligent director and a humble spot-boy, find themselves marooned in the wilderness. With the camera's restoration requiring a trip back to the city, they are left in the grip of an unwelcome four-day delay. To break the monotony, the group decides to explore the verdant depths of the jungle, led by their local guide, Sethu. Taken in by the captivating allure of a picturesque spot, they decide to spend the night under the canopy of the jungle, oblivious of the sinister fate that awaits them. As dawn breaks, the morning reveals a chilling reality: Sethu, their only navigator in this labyrinth of green, is found dead. Stranded in the heart of the jungle with no escape route, a palpable fear begins to grip the group. The once enchanting jungle morphs into a playground for an unseen terror, an invisible creature or perhaps an extra-terrestrial entity, that begins to hunt them down, one by one. As the group grapples with their terrifying predicament, the line between reality and the reel begins to blur. The mysterious entity seems invincible, their chances of survival dwindling with each passing moment. Through the eerie silence of the jungle, the haunting echo of their own mortality reminds them that they are no longer the storytellers, but pawns in a terrifying plot being written by an unseen hand.
