A Night to Remember (1942)

In the shadowy underbelly of Greenwich Village, mystery writer Jeff Troy and his new bride Nancy settle into their gloomy basement apartment, a peculiar dwelling that whispers stories of its infamous past as a former speakeasy. They arrive a day prior to their furniture, a blank canvas ready to be painted with the local color Jeff hopes to infuse into his next book.
