Plot

In the 1915 classic, "A Night Out," our protagonists, Charlie and Ben, embark on an evening of merriment that quickly escalates into a comedy of errors. After a lively visit to a local pub, their spirits high and inhibitions low, they make their way to a swanky restaurant. Their intoxicated antics, however, soon clash with the refined atmosphere, leading to a humorous confrontation with a French dandy and his lady companion. Their rowdy behavior incites the wrath of the restaurant's burly head waiter who forcefully ejects Ben and Charlie. Undeterred, they indulge in another round at a different pub before retiring to their hotel. It's there that they become enamored with a young, attractive woman staying across the hall. However, when Charlie's curiosity leads him to spy on her through the keyhole, a vigilant bellboy halts his peeping. In a twist of fate, Charlie discovers the woman's husband is none other than the head waiter from the restaurant. He swiftly changes hotels, only for the head waiter and his wife, dissatisfied with their own service, to coincidentally choose the same establishment. Once again, they end up as Charlie's unsuspecting neighbors. The plot thickens when the woman's dog darts into Charlie's room, leading her to follow in her nightwear. Upon returning, the head waiter finds his wife in Charlie's room, sparking a hilariously misleading situation. "A Night Out" is an uproarious journey through a night filled with pubs, pranks, and misunderstandings, all infused with the timeless humor of classic silent cinema.
