A Brand New You (2014)

Caught in the turbulent whirlwind of his wife Viviana's untimely death, Santiago Morales, a meticulous thirty-year-old with a deep-seated aversion to disorder, finds himself teetering on the precipice of despair. When every breath he takes echoes with the haunting absence of his beloved, Santiago meticulously crafts a suicide to-do list to put an end to his agony. He takes refuge in a boarding house, methodically ticking off each task, readying himself for the final act. Just as he's about to step into the void of oblivion, his inquisitive roommate intervenes and snatches him back from the jaws of death. Survival, however, only amplifies Santiago's desperation. An audacious idea takes root: he decides to clone Viviana. To achieve this, he enlists the help of his landlord, a fallen scientist who has strayed from the path of conventional biology. The endeavour poses yet another moral conundrum: to birth the clone of his deceased wife, he needs a surrogate. Santiago must persuade his roommate, Laura, to shoulder this strange, unprecedented responsibility. As this improbable trio embarks on a journey of rebirth, they are forced to confront their own damaged lives, learning to navigate the chaos of life and love, and realizing that moving on might be the only way to truly bring order to their existences.
