Plot

In the frost-kissed expanse of 1950s France, a grand mansion stands isolated, swallowed by the relentless snowstorm. Within its walls, a family has convened for the holiday season, their festive spirit abruptly extinguished by the shocking murder of the beloved patriarch. The killer, chillingly, must be one of the eight women intimately linked to the deceased industrialist. The suspects form a dynamic tableau - Gaby, the formidable wife; their two daughters, the innocent Suzon and curious Catherine; the neurotic sister, Augustine, and the avaricious mother-in-law; the flamboyant sister of the victim, Pierrette; Chanel, the steadfast cook, and Louise, the audacious new maid. As the mansion succumbs to the icy grip of winter, they find themselves severed from the world outside - the phone line is dead, their only vehicle sabotaged. In this locked crucible of suspicion, each woman is a riddle wrapped in a mystery. Underneath the veneer of familial bonds and servitude, each harbors a motive, a secret, a potential guilt. The mansion transforms into a stage for unfolding dramas, a whirlwind of hysterics, escalating rivalries and unexpected musical interludes. Comedic moments are born out of the unveiling of hidden truths, painting a kaleidoscope of human frailty and resilience. Greed tangles with jealousy, illicit pregnancies rub shoulders with adultery, and theft lurks in the shadow of concealed love. As seduction pirouettes with betrayal, the enigma of the female psyche stands exposed. These eight women, beautiful and tempestuous, intelligent and sensual, dangerous yet vulnerable - one of them is the murderer. But who? A symphony of suspicion and revelation, '8 Women' is a riveting exploration of deceit, desire, and the depths to which one might go to protect a secret.
