Plot
The technology of the future has found the key to immortality, but it comes with some complications and manifests in a format we might not have expected. Human consciousness can be digitized and uploaded to a virtual afterlife. Computer programmer Nathan ends up in the expensive afterlife community of Lake View, but he soon discovers that this cookie cutter fantasy life might not be all he hoped for. As Nathan begins to fall in love with the customer service rep who serves as his point of contact to the world of the living, she begins to suspect that Nathan was murdered.
