Buffy Summers desperately wants to be a normal teenage girl, but it is not to be. Summers is a "Slayer," a woman chosen by fate to fight off vampires, demons, and other evil creatures. Her job is to keep the rest of the world safe, and she must do so while attempting to balance her normal high school struggles. The series follows Buffy's adventures as she keeps her family, friends, and the rest of the world safe from the variety of demonic forces that attempt to kill or capture them. It also tracks Buffy's attempts to enjoy a normal high school and college career.
