In a world where financial stability is but a distant dream, Yuuichi Katagiri finds solace in the strength of his enduring friendships. Despite life's challenges, he maintains an uplifting spirit, fuelled by the promise he made to his friends to accompany them on a much-anticipated school trip. Through relentless hard work, Yuuichi manages to scrape together enough money to fulfil his pledge. However, the joyous occasion is eclipsed by an inexplicable incident — the collective funds for the trip mysteriously vanish, casting a suspicious shadow over Yuuichi's trusted companions, Shiho Sawaragi and Makoto Shibe.
