The Future Diary (2011)

14-year old Yukiteru Amano spends more time documenting life than he does living it. He's constantly recording everything in his cell phone diary, but the experiences he's recording are largely comprised of imaginary friends. The lonely Yukiteru finds a sense of comfort in his friends Murmur and Dues, but that all changes when the diary Yukiteru is writing begins to predict his own death. The young man discovers that he's just one of many young people who have been given a Future Diary as part of a test to decide who will become god next. But there are deeper layers to this sinister game.
